Lotoria

Lotoria ist eine Gattung von Meeresschnecken, meeresbezogenen Weichtieren in der Familie der Naticidae, die Nacktschnecken.

Beschreibung

Die Arten in dieser Gattung sind klein, mit einem eiförmigen, glatten oder geringfügig gerippten Gehäuse. Die Schale ist weiß oder cremefarben und hat oft eine braune oder rötliche Färbung. Die Gehäuse von Lotoria-Arten sind dünnwandig und haben eine weite Öffnung. Das Operculum ist klein und hornartig.

Verbreitung und Lebensraum

Lotoria-Arten kommen in den tropischen und subtropischen Gewässern des Indopazifiks vor. Sie leben in sandigen oder schlammigen Böden in Küstennähe.
